Privacy / measurement boundary

Privacy & analytics.

This page documents the data-handling choices of the public VARZIN research portal. It is a technical transparency notice, not legal advice.

01 / contact

Contact messages stay in your email workflow.

The website contact form prepares a mailto: message and opens the visitor's configured email application. The static website itself does not operate a contact-form database or receive the message until the visitor sends it through their email provider.

02 / optional analytics

Analytics is designed to be opt-in.

The portal contains a privacy-respecting Google Analytics 4 integration scaffold. It remains inactive unless a valid VARZIN GA4 Measurement ID is configured. When configured, Google Analytics is loaded only after the visitor explicitly chooses Allow analytics. Declining causes no Google Analytics script request from this loader.

Advertising boundary: the integration disables Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals. It is intended for aggregate website measurement, not remarketing or ad targeting.

The consent choice is stored locally in the browser using localStorage. Visitors can clear site storage in their browser to reset that choice.

03 / hosting & external links

Third-party services have their own policies.

VARZIN is published as a static website through GitHub Pages. Network infrastructure and external destinations such as DOI providers, ORCID, GitHub, Google, and email services may process ordinary request or account data under their own terms when a visitor uses those services.
